Here's what you can expect
- Expanding the range: Developing and expanding an economically viable range of 3D-printed spare parts for our wholesale business
- Designing parts: Independent design and customisation of spare parts in CAD - from the model to the print-ready file
- Manage 3D printing: Planning, preparation and execution of print jobs including material selection, parameter optimisation and quality control of printed parts
- Collaboration with product management: Close dialogue with the entire product management team to identify suitable spare parts and derive new 3D printing potential, particularly in niches and small product ranges
- Cost calculation: Independent calculation of production costs and evaluation of cost-effectiveness compared to traditional manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding)
- Developing processes further: Establishing, optimising and standardising internal 3D printing processes, from the enquiry to the finished article in the range
- Driving technology forward: Monitoring technical developments in the field of additive manufacturing and contributing our own ideas for the further development of our 3D printing area
What you need to bring
- Training & qualification: Successfully completed technical training, e.g. as a technical product designer (m/f/d), design engineer (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d), process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification, preferably with a focus on 3D printing / additive manufacturing
- Professional experience & expertise: Experience in dealing with 3D printing technologies (e.g. FDM or SLS) and common CAD systems; ideally knowledge of plastic components and their stress in technical applications as well as a basic understanding of requirements for spare parts in the heavy-duty sector (agricultural machinery, construction machinery, commercial vehicles) or the willingness to familiarise yourself quickly and practically
- IT & language skills: Confident handling of CAD software and common IT systems; experience with slicer software and ideally initial contact with ERP or PIM systems; very good knowledge of German (at least C1)
- Personal skills: Strong hands-on mentality, enjoy working independently with a lot of creative freedom, strong communication skills in exchange with product management and sales as well as a careful, structured way of working
