Head of Tax / Tax Compliance (m/f/d)

Here's what you can expect
- Tax advice & support: Point of contact for national and international tax matters, with a focus on VAT and payroll tax law
- Analysing & further developing business processes: Reviewing and optimising processes relevant to income tax and VAT within the group of companies
- Reviewing balance sheet accounts from a tax perspective: Analysing balance sheet and profit and loss account items from a tax perspective
- Coordinating internal & external interfaces: Collaborating with internal departments and external contacts on tax-related matters
- Preparing & delivering training: Designing and delivering training on VAT law
- Supporting tax correspondence: Reviewing and coordinating tax correspondence, such as tax assessment notices
What you need to bring
- Education & Qualifications: A successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Law or a comparable qualification, as well as a successfully passed tax adviser’s examination
- Professional experience & specialist knowledge: Several years’ professional experience in a tax consultancy role, as well as in-depth knowledge of VAT law and, ideally, payroll tax law
- IT & language skills: Very good knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of SAP would be an advantage; business fluency in German and English
- Personal skills: Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, quick on the uptake, analytical thinking and a high sense of responsibility
